Where can I buy movie tickets?

Marcus Theatres mobile app: Purchase tickets at any time for any location on your phone or tablet. Download the Marcus Theatres app for free on iOS or Android

MarcusTheatres.com: Once you select your showtime on MarcusTheatres.com for your local theatre, you will be asked to make your seat selection and complete your purchase.

How much do movie tickets cost?

Ticket prices vary by theatre location, movie showtime and amenities available. For pricing information for your local theatre, please select the location you are interested in, then select the date and showtime to display the pricing of the selected tickets.

Can I use a pass or discount ticket to purchase my movie tickets?

Marcus Theatres and Movie Tavern passes and discount tickets can be redeemed in person at the location box office where the movie is playing. Details on usage and restrictions for our passes can be found on each pass. For more information, please see your local box office or visit our Online Gift Store.

Can I get a refund for the movie tickets I already purchased?

Purchased from location box office: Refunds can only be provided before the showtime at the location box office in which the tickets were purchased. Unfortunately, refunds cannot be provided after the showtime. All convenience fees are non-refundable.

MarcusTheatres.com or Marcus Theatres mobile app: Refunds will only be provided up to 30 minutes before the showtime through our website at https://ticketing.marcustheatres.com/retrieve-booking. Unfortunately, refunds cannot be provided after the showtime.

Purchased via Fandango:  You can contact Fandango at 866-857-5191 for a refund before the showtime.

Why am I being charged an online convenience fee?

Non-Magical Movie Rewards Members: A small service fee is charged for all tickets purchased on our website and mobile app. We charge this fee to allow our guests the ability to conveniently purchase their tickets online before tickets are sold out, and to ensure that our guests are able to select their preferred seats ahead of time. All convenience fees are non-refundable.

Magical Movie Rewards Members: Starting on March 1, 2024, we are making a change to how we handle online service fees on ticket purchases for Magical Movie Rewards℠ members. To have your online service fees waived for all of 2024, members need to have made at least 4 paid visits in 2023. This includes tickets purchased for general showings, Value Tuesday showings, Marcus Passports, and all other paid movie and entertainment experiences.

We are extending the annual qualification period through January 31, 2024 as we want to give all of our members the opportunity to achieve the benefit of waived online ticketing service fees. Online service fees will continue to be waived for all members through Feb. 29, 2024. 

Online service fees on Value Tuesday ticket purchases will continue to be waived for all members.

MarcusTheatres.com: Make sure to check the box that says “I am a Magical Movie Rewards Member” on the Purchase Information page. From there, enter your account number and last name. Once this information is entered correctly the transaction will continue to the payment page of our website. On the bottom left of this page you will see your cart total with a V symbol next to it. When you click on the V symbol, it will bring up your payment breakdown to show that the convenience fee has been zeroed out.

Marcus Theatres mobile app: Make sure to enter your Magical Movie Rewards account number under the “profile” section of the app. From there, this information will be saved and applied to waive the convenience fee during future purchases.

Does Marcus offer any discounts for movies?

Value Ticketing: We offer a variety of value days, including our weekly Value Tuesday, Student Thursday and Young at Heart Senior specials. Check out all of our value offerings here: http://www.marcustheatres.com/marcus-specials/value-pricing.

Discount VIP Ticketing: Discount VIP Tickets are available for purchase. Discount VIP Tickets from Marcus Theatres are ideal for avid moviegoers. They offer a huge savings on admission to the movies. They make the perfect gift or could be used as employee incentives. For more information and to purchase discount tickets, please see your local box office or visit our Online Gift Store.

Discount VIP Tickets must be redeemed at your local Box Office in exchange for a movie ticket.  Restrictions may apply (details on restrictions will be found on the pass or at Online Gift Store under the pass description).  We do not accept Discount VIP Tickets for online ticketing.

What is the age policy on tickets?

  • Child Ticket Policy: The Marcus Theatres policy for a Child’s ticket is age 3 to 11. Children under 3 and may not occupy their own reserved seat. Children pricing does not apply for Rated R Films. Generally, it is not appropriate for parents to bring their young children with them to R-rated motion pictures. Children under the age of 6 are not admitted to R-rated movies at any time as these features are intended for mature audiences. For more details please see our Ratings Policies
  • Senior Citizen Ticket Policy: Senior Citizen’s ticket is age 60 and over. We offer a “Young At Heart” Discount ticket on Fridays (offered also on Wednesdays at select locations. Restrictions may apply, see Young At Heart details here
  • Youth Escourt Policy: For all movies starting after 6PM, guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian 25 years of age or older at the following locations: BistroPlex Southridge (WI), Gurnee Mills (IL), Hulen (TX), Little Rock (AR), Menomonee Falls (WI), Movie Tavern Brookfield Square (WI), O'Fallon (IL), and Pickerington (OH).

How do I use a Marcus Gift Card to purchase tickets?

  • Marcus Theatres Gift cards are redeemable at any Marcus Theatres location. Gift cards carry NO expiration date or dormancy fees. (If a gift card is not used for 10 years, it will be deemed inactive.  Please contact 1-800-274-0099 (Ext 1) for a new card to be issued).
  • Any purchase made with a gift card must go to the box office for refunds. Refund requests are not accepted after show time.

  • For Cards without pin numbers, feel free to bring your gift card in to any Marcus Theatres Box Office to check the balance or contact 1-800-274-0099 (Ext 1)
  • If you have a Fandango Gift Card, it can only be redeemed through purchasing tickets through Fandango. We do not accept Fandango Gift Cards at our location Box Office and on the Marcus APP. Please visit Fandango.com for their Gift Card policies. .
