I lost my Magical Movie Rewards number, what can I do?

Here are 3 easy ways to retrieve your card number.

1) You can CLICK HERE to enter your email address and receive your Magical Movie Rewards card number.

2) If you receive our weekly emails, your account number is noted in the upper right corner.

3) If you do not receive our emails, an associate at any location's box office can look your Rewards number up for you or you can email rewards@marcustheatres.com.

Please do not sign up for another number at the theatre or online

I have my Magical Movie Rewards number, but how do I get a replacement card?

If you wish to receive a replacement card, you can click HERE to login using your account number and your registered e-mail address.

  • Once you’ve logged in to marcustheatres.com/loyalty, click on “Update Profile”
  • Look over your profile information and please be sure we have your correct mailing address.
  • Check the “I lost my card, please send me a replacement” box on the bottom of that page.

Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing and shipping for your requested replacement card.

Additionally, if you have a smartphone, you can store your existing account number on our Marcus Theatres/Movie Tavern mobile app. You can learn more by clicking HERE to get to our information/download page. The new app requires you to set up a user profile which is not initially connected to your Magical Movie Rewards account and must be set up before you can add your rewards card information. You can show your “virtual card” on your phone rather than your plastic card to earn points during any transaction. If you plan to visit us before you receive your card, you can provide the phone number during the transaction and the theatre associate can look up your account and add points.

How do I become a Magical Movie Rewards member?

There are 3 ways to join the Magical Movie Rewards program!

1) You can click here to join.

  • Fill out the enrollment form and look over your information to be sure it is correct. (Please do not include any spaces or special characters in your last name)
  • Check the “I accept terms and conditions of the program” box on the bottom of that page and click “Submit Query”.
  • On the confirmation page, please take note of your new member number and print your temporary card if you have access to a printer.
  • If you would like to receive a permanent card in the mail, please select the checkbox at the bottom of the confirmation page.

2) If you have a smartphone, you can store your existing account number on our Marcus Theatres/Movie Tavern mobile app. You can learn more by clicking HERE to get to our information/download page. You can show your “virtual card” on your phone rather than your plastic card to earn points during any transaction.

3) You can stop by any location and pick up a card. They can register your card there, or if you are in a hurry, you can take the card and register it on your computer later here by logging in.

I picked up a card at the theatre, how do I get it registered?

You can click here to register.

  • Fill in the card number and email fields in the login box with no spaces or dashes –this will take you to our registration/enrollment form. (Please do not include any spaces or special characters in your last name)

If you get an error, your card may already have been registered by theatre staff and there may be a typo preventing you from logging in.

  • Please contact the Rewards team at rewards@marcustheatres.com with your rewards card number and we can take a look and make any corrections for you.

 

How do I update my Magical Movie Rewards profile?

You can click here to update your profile by logging in using your account number and your registered e-mail address.

Once logged in, click on “Update Profile” to look over your profile information. Here you can make any updates or corrections needed.

(Please do not include any spaces or special characters in your last name)

Having trouble logging in?

This may mean that there is a typo in the name or email on your Rewards card profile.

Contact the Rewards team at rewards@marcustheatres.com with your rewards card number and we can take a look and make any corrections for you.

I have more than one rewards account, can they be combined?

Yes!

Just send an email to rewards@marcustheatres.com with the card numbers and please be sure to mention which card you would like to keep. Any transferable points or rewards dollars will be moved to the current account. Unfortunately, the bonus registration points are non-transferable.

Points and Rewards

How does the Magical Movie Rewards program work?

Once you are a member, you can receive one point for each dollar spent when you present your card during transactions for anything in the theatre (except gift cards). When your points balance reaches 100, it resets to zero and you earn a $5 Reward, after which you begin earning points toward 100 again to earn your next $5 reward. (Your point balance will never go above the 100 point mark). You can redeem those rewards dollars on anything in the theatre (again, except for gift cards). (Please note that points rewards dollars can expire –please see the FAQ below about expired points/rewards for more details)

How do I earn waived online service fees on Magical Movie Rewards ticket purchases?

Magical Movie Rewards members who have made 4 or more total paid visits during the calendar year will receive the benefit of waived online service fees for the current and next calendar year. Members who have not achieved 4 total paid visits, regardless of when they joined Magical Movie Rewards, will be charged online service fees for Wednesday-Monday ticket purchases beginning March 1, 2024. 
 
Online service fees on Value Tuesday tickets purchases will continue to be waived for all members.
 
The Paid Visits Counter restarts every calendar year. 
  • Current members, who did not meet the 2023 paid visits threshold, will become eligible for this benefit immediately for the balance of the current and next year once they accrue 4 total paid visits.  
  • Members who met the 2023 threshold already have a full waiver for 2024. Once they achieve 4 total paid visits in 2024, they qualify for the extension of this benefit for all of 2025.
 
No online service fees will be applied to Passports and paid subscription visit tickets (MovieFlex and MovieFlex Plus) for all Magical Movie Rewards members. 

Where can I find how many paid visits I have this year and whether I have earned the online service fee waiver benefit?

  • Members with a valid email address in their profile will be emailed their current paid visits and online service fees status by December 31, 2023.
  • Members with a valid email address in their profile will see their current visits status on Magical Movie Reward emails starting in January 2024.
  • When signed in to our App, members can find a list of paid visits and other transactions under “Profile/Rewards/See Balances & History/Your Transactions”.
  • When signed in to our website, members can find a list of paid visits and other transactions under “My Account/Points & Rewards Summary/Show Details”.

What qualifies as a paid visit?

The following rules apply to what counts toward the annual Paid Visits Counter:
  • Only tickets purchased by Magical Member Rewards members count toward paid visits for the calendar year.
  • To count, paid visits must include member payment for movie or entertainment ticket(s) to Marcus Theatres and Movie Tavern.
  • Refunded visit tickets will be deducted from the Paid Visits Counter for the calendar year.
  • Passports and paid subscription visit tickets (MovieFlex and MovieFlex Plus) count as paid visits.
  • All paid Value Tuesday visits count toward paid visits for the calendar year.
  • Only one visit per day is counted as a paid visit.
 
The following are examples that do not qualify as paid visits: 
  • Non-paid visit tickets. This includes free screenings and free passes.
  • Group bookings of theatres.
  • Food and beverage or concessions purchases using Magical Movie Rewards do not count toward total paid visits, but they will earn points based on program guidelines.

My points weren’t added during my visit, how do I get them added to my account?

Points are typically added at the time of purchase, but we may be able to add them manually for you if the transaction took place within the last 60 days. Please send an email to rewards@marcustheatres.com with a copy/picture of your receipt/confirmation, and we would be happy to add any missing points.

You can still earn points without your card during your visit! Theatre staff can use your phone number to look up your account and apply earned points during the transaction.

I participated in a promotion for bonus points but have not seen my points added to my account. When will I see them?

With promotions, we manually add your bonus points after the promotion ends, so they will not show on your account right away. The expected “post by” date is usually listed in the fine print of the email. If the date listed in the fine print has passed, please contact the Rewards team at rewards@marcustheatres.com with your rewards card number and we can look into it for you.

How do I redeem my rewards dollars?

You can apply Rewards dollars towards tickets, concession items, and purchases made at our theatre locations restaurants.

*In person: Just mention that you would like to use the rewards on your account to the cashier when you present your Magical Movie Rewards card during the transaction. -You must have the physical or virtual card to redeem dollars in person

Rewards dollars can be used for ticket purchases on our web site or mobile app but cannot be used for online food and drink purchases at this time.

*On the website: During your ticket order, be sure to check the “I am a Magical Movie Rewards member” box at the bottom of the Purchase Information page. After you enter your rewards card number and last name, click continue. Select the pay button shown below your Magical Movie Rewards card number. If there is still a balance owed after your Rewards dollars are applied to the order, you can then select the gift card or credit card options.

*On the mobile app: Your Rewards number must be saved in the mobile app before you start your ticket order. If a service fee is listed on the order summary screen, your card number has not been entered correctly into the mobile app. After you have made your order selections and arrive at the Checkout page, select your form of payment. (If there is still a balance owed after your Rewards dollars are applied to the order, the app will ask you how you will pay for the open balance.) *Select the pay button shown below your Magical Movie Rewards card number.

How can I check my points and reward dollar balances and account history?

Once you’ve logged in, there is a “show details” option under your points balance and rewards balance.

 

To see your points/rewards balance in the mobile app:

  • From the home screen, tap on the profile icon in the lower right corner then select the “Rewards” option
  • Under your rewards card number, select “See Balance and History”

To see a list of your transactions from the “See Balance and History” page:

  • Tap “Your Transactions” at the bottom
    • When “points” is shown in red, the points history is listed
    • When “rewards” is shown in red, the rewards history is listed

 

Why don’t I see my $5 reward if my point balance went over 100?

If the points that took you over 100 were added manually (usually shown as “corporate”), the Reward totals will not show on your account until after the next time you complete a transaction online or at the theatre.

What are the limits or restrictions on earning points?

  • Regardless of purchase price, you may earn a maximum of two hundred (200) points per qualifying purchase and one thousand (1,000) Points per day.
  • Points are not eligible for group sales.
  • Points are not earned for the purchase of gift cards, Silver, Diamond or Platinum Tickets. The points for these items are earned when they are used to make a ticket or food/beverage purchase.
    • Exception: a $100 Marcus Theatres Gift Card will earn twenty-five (25) bonus points

 

Do the points or rewards dollars expire?

*Points will expire if there is no activity (points earned) within a 180-day period.

*Rewards dollars will expire if there is no activity (rewards earned or used) within a 180-day period, regardless of how many points were earned towards your next reward.

We are extending the expiration date for loyalty points and rewards into 2021. Watch our website, social media and your email for an announcement on re-starting the clock on points and reward expiration and resuming the regular rules of the loyalty program. Your points and rewards will be valid for 180 days from that date and will not expire if you have qualifying activity during that time.

How do I download the Marcus/Movie Tavern mobile app?

I downloaded the app, but it will not accept my information. What do I do?

The mobile app requires you to set up a user profile which is not initially connected to your Magical Movie Rewards account. This helps to customize your future experience on the app which will save time later. This must be set up before you can add your rewards card information.

  • Once you download the app, tap on create a user profile then fill in your information.
  • Be sure to check the box acknowledging the terms and conditions then click continue.
  • Tap on “I am currently a Magical Movie Rewards member” and add your Magical Movie Rewards card number and last name to store your account.

 

Why doesn’t my confirmation show my rewards dollar redemption towards my online ticket purchase?

The email confirmation does not show the redeemed rewards dollars, only the total paid with all forms of payment. If your credit card/bank statement shows you paid the full amount, please email a redacted screen shot showing this and we can correct the rewards dollar balance for you.

My mobile app won’t accept my Magical Movie Rewards card because it is attached to another profile. Why is this?

Magical Movie Rewards card numbers can only be linked to one user profile at a time but you can be logged into the same profile from multiple devices. Since this card number has already been added to a user profile, you would need to log into that profile to access it on the app. If you do not know what profile your card is attached to, please contact the Rewards team at rewards@marcustheatres.com with your rewards card number and we can look into it for you.

I lost my ticket confirmation, what can I do?

Here are your options when you arrive at the theatre on the day of or any time before your show time.

  1. At one of our box office kiosks, you can swipe the credit card used to make the purchases and it will print your tickets.
  2. At select locations, the ticket-taker has a device that can scan your credit card and print your tickets.
  3. At the box office, you can present the credit card used to make the purchases and your Rewards account number to an associate and they can print your tickets for you.

 

Why will my credit card not save in my mobile app profile?

This is a known issue that our tech team hopes to have resolved by our next app update. Until this update is completed, you will need to enter your credit/debit card information for each purchase.

How do I add my gift card to the mobile app?

 

  • Tap on the profile icon in the lower right corner of the home page.
  • Select Gift Cards from the horizontal menu and tap Add Card.
  • Enter your gift card number and pin number then tap Add Card.

The old Marcus mobile app is not showing the same information/balances as the new Marcus Theatres/Movie Tavern mobile app. What happened?

Our old mobile app is now obsolete and has not been supported or serviced since early May 2019. Any information you currently see in that old app is not correct.

Please delete the old app from your device.
