As 2019 comes to a close, we're taking a look back at the highest-grossing films released in the last 10 years. From a boy wizard and the king of the jungle to fast cars and superheroes, check out the blockbusters that topped the box office worldwide since 2010.
10. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows–Part 2 (2011)
In the epic finale of the film series based on J. K. Rowling's novels, the battle between the good and evil forces of the wizarding world escalates into an all-out war as Harry Potter draws closer to the climactic showdown with Lord Voldemort. The movie's magic also extended to the box office, with the film grossing $1,341,932,398 worldwide.
9. Black Panther (2018)
After the events of Captain America: Civil War (2016), T'Challa returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. The first superhero film ever nominated for a Best Picture Oscar®, the Marvel blockbuster went on to win 3 Academy Awards® for Best Original Score, Best Costume Design and Best Production Design—while raking in $1,346,913,161 at the box office.
8. Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
This sequel to 2012's The Avengers reunited Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye in a superhero-sized hit that grossed $1,402,805,868 worldwide.
7. Furious 7 (2015)
Most notable for having to create a new ending after star Paul Walker's tragic death, this seventh installment in the unstoppable franchise served up a heartbreaking send-off while taking fans on another entertaining ride (to the tune of $1,515,047,671).
6. The Avengers (2012)
Marvel's mightiest heroes teamed up for the first time to stop the mischievous Loki and his alien army from enslaving humanity. The blockbuster's $1,518,812,988 worldwide haul kicked off a decade of super successes for the MCU.
5. The Lion King (2019)
Oh, we just couldn't wait for this live-action Disney remake! Utilizing pioneering filmmaking techniques and an all-star cast of voices to bring treasured characters to life in a whole new way, director Jon Favreau's The Lion King grossed $1,656,311,308 since its release in July of this year.
4. Jurassic World (2015)
Twenty two years after Jurassic Park roared into theatres, Steven Spielberg returned to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of the groundbreaking series. In the $1,670,400,637 hit, a new theme park—built on the original site of Jurassic Park—creates a genetically modified hybrid dinosaur, the Indominus Rex, which escapes containment and goes on a killing spree.

The movie that set up the beginning of the end for the original Avengers, Marvel's $2,048,359,754 blockbuster saw our favorite superheroes willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos.

Kicking off a new trilogy in the Star Wars saga—and grossing an out-of-this-galaxy $2,068,223,624 worldwide—Episode VII brought back familiar faces and introduced fresh foes. Set three decades after the Empire's defeat, defected stormtrooper Finn and scavenger Rey are caught up in the Resistance's search for a missing Luke Skywalker in director J.J. The Avengers assembled once more in order to reverse Thanos' actions and restore balance to the universe in the penultimate chapter of Marvel Cinematic Universe's "Phase Three." Not just the biggest film of the decade, Endgame is also the highest-grossing film EVER—surpassing 2009's Avatar and 1997's Titanic on its way to a record box office tally of $2,797,800,564!
