ASHLEY KUMLIEN, FOUNDER OF “MS RUN THE US” TO APPEAR AT THE MARCUS MAJESTIC CINEMA AUGUST 11

Ashley Kumlien, a Brookfield native, will conduct a Q&A session before a special screening of the Warner Brothers’ classic “Without Limits”

 

Milwaukee, Wis., July 27, 2010. . . . .Marcus Theatres® today announced Ashley Kumlien, founder of the non-profit organization, “MS Run the US,” and a Brookfield, Wis. resident will appear at the Marcus Majestic Cinema in Brookfield Wednesday, August 11, 2010, as she continues her journey across the U.S. 

 

Ashley will conduct a Q&A session at 6:45 p.m. in conjunction with a special fundraising screening of Warner Brothers’ classic Steve Prefontaine bio, Without Limits, beginning at 7:10 p.m.  The Tom Cruise produced film is the story of friendship between Prefontaine, one of America’s greatest long distance runners, and his coach, Bill Bowerman, who co-founded Nike, Inc.  Billy Crudup plays Prefontaine and Donald Sutherland plays Bowerman.

 

Ashley Kumlien formed the charitable organization to honor her mother, who has been fighting Multiple Sclerosis for 27 years.  To raise awareness of MS and to raise funds for “MS Run the US,” Ashley has set out to run 3,230 miles across the U.S. from San Francisco, California to New York, New York over a six-month time period.
