Marcus Theatres® Celebrates TURBO Milwaukee Premiere With Racing Elite

IZOD IndyCar Series Drivers, Industry Leaders Help Launch Movie

 

WHAT: A celebration of the new movie Turbo, Indy cars and the joy of racing with some of the industry’s key players at the local premiere of Turbo.

WHO: Marcus Theatres team up with Dreamworks, INDYCAR, and Andretti Sports Marketing

 

Takuma Sato: The only Japanese driver competing full time in 2013, Sato won the British Formula 3 title in 2001 and began competing in Formula One in 2002. He scored a podium finish at the 2004 USGP at Indy and finished eighth in the championship driving for BAR Honda that year.  Moving to the IZOD IndyCar Series in 2010, Sato won two poles and finished in the top-10 13 times before joining A. J. Foyt Racing for the 2013 season.

 

Sarah Fisher: At 19, Sarah Fisher became the youngest woman ever to qualify for the Indianapolis 500. In 2008, she formed Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing, and the team scored its first IZOD IndyCar Series victory in 2011 at Kentucky Speedway.

WHY: Coming off the heels of a wildly successful IndyFest 2013, this is an opportunity to see one of the IndyFest show cars and meet with some of the drivers and industry leaders to talk about the future of racing and how a little guy named Turbo is going to introduce a whole new generation to the sport.

 

ABOUT TURBO: Turbo, which opens its regular run on July 17, is a high-velocity 3D comedy about an underdog snail who kicks into overdrive when he miraculously attains the power of super-speed.  But after making fast friends with a crew of streetwise tricked-out es-car-goes, Turbo learns that no one succeeds on their own.  So he puts his heart and shell on the line to help his pals achieve their dreams before Turbo-charging his own impossible dream: winning the Indy 500.  Starring the voice talents of Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Snoop Dogg, Maya Rudolph and Samuel L. Jackson
