Marcus Theatres® Announces Summer Kids Dream Schedule

Marcus Theatres’ annual Kids Dream film series returns to take your family on a journey of discovery, laughter, celebration and affordable family fun this summer. This year’s series will include, along with other recent family hits, several titles from the very popular Disneynature series that bring the wonders of our amazing planet Earth to the big screen. 

This weekday series will begin June 18 at participating Marcus Theatres and offers G or PG rated family films at specially discounted prices. All films in the series will be shown Tuesday through Thursday at 10AM. Admission is only $2.00 per person. Families can also enjoy a 46-ounce popcorn or 14-ounce fountain drink at the special Kids Dream price of only $2.50 each.

The Kids Dreams Film Series is presented by American Family Insurance.


Tuesday, June 18 through Thursday June 20, 10 AM –

Earth - Rated G

Earth, from Disneynature, is an epic story of adventure, starring some of the most magnificent and courageous creatures alive.  The film follows the migration paths of three animal families – polar bears, elephants and humpback whales – as they journey across our remarkable planet. Earth features spectacular cinematography and the compelling narration of James Earl Jones.


Tuesday, June 25 through Thursday June 27, 10 AM –

Madagascar 3, Europe’s Most Wanted – Rated PG

This third installment of the popular computer-animated Madagascar franchise finds Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Gloria the hippo and Melman the giraffe continuing their quest to return home to New York.  In this outing, the gang journeys through Europe with the perfect cover: a traveling circus, which they reinvent - Madagascar style.  Madagascar 3 features the voice performances of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett Smith and David Schwimmer.


Tuesday, July 9 through Thursday, July 11, 10 AM

African Cats – Rated G

Disneynature returns in July with African Cats.  This true-life adventure tells the story of two animal families in the wild by using real-life footage. The film focuses on a young lion cub named Mara being raised by her mother Layla, and a mother cheetah named Sita who is raising five newborns.  The story centers on the two great cats teaching their cubs the secrets to survival.  African Cats features breathtaking cinematography of the African savannah and narration by Samuel Jackson.


Tuesday July 16 through Thursday, July 18, 10 AM

Escape from Planet Earth – Rated PG

This computer-animated comedy adventure looks at Earth from an outsider’s perspective.  Escape from Planet Earth tells the story of Sorch Supernova, hero astronaut from Planet Baab on a mission to the “Dark Planet” – Earth – and his escape back to his home planet. Escape from Planet Earth features the voice performances of Brendan Fraser, Rob Corddry and Jessica Alba.

Oceans – Rated G

Disneynature’s celebration of the wonders of Earth continues in Oceans, which explores the world’s five oceans and the remarkable creatures that inhabit them. The film, narrated by Pierce Brosnan, takes us into the depths of a wonderland filled with mystery, beauty and power.  Incredible state-of-the-art-underwater filmmaking will take your breath away as you migrate with whales, swim alongside a great white shark and race with dolphins at play.

Chimpanzee – Rated G

This inspiring and life-changing adventure, narrated by Tim Allen, overflows with courage and charm that will capture your heart.
