MARCUS THEATRES® TO SHOW FINDING NEMO SEPTEMBER 15, HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA OCTOBER 6 AND WRECK-IT RALPH NOVEMBER 3 IN “REEL MOVIES FOR REAL NEEDS” FILM SERIES

Published On: Thursday, September 06, 2012

Marcus Theatres® today announced it will be showing Finding Nemo on September 15, 2012, Hotel Transylvania on October 6, 2012 and Wreck-It Ralph on November 3, 2012 at select theatre locations as part of its “Reel Movies for Real Needs” film series. “Reel Movies for Real Needs” is designed for families of special-needs children with autism or other challenges who cannot always attend regularly featured movies with their families.

All movies in the film series begin at 10:30 a.m. Regular matinee adult and child pricing applies. All movies are shown in 2D.

Nemo, like all young fish, is eager to explore the mysterious reef. After venturing off into open sea, Nemo is captured and taken to a dentist’s office fish tank far from home. Finding Nemo follows Marlin, Nemo’s father, and Dory, a blue tang fish with short-term memory loss, on their adventure to find and save his son. Whether you’ve never seen it before or it’s a personal favorite, Finding Nemo is a true classic that everyone can enjoy.

When a boy named Jonathan discovers a high-end monster resort that is supposed to be hidden from the human world, things don’t exactly go as expected. Hotel Transylvania, featuring the voices of Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez and David Spade, is a family-friendly tale of forbidden love when Jonathan falls for Dracula’s daughter Mavis at her 118th birthday party. This witty comedy is sure to keep audiences entertained all movie long.

Nobody loves the bad guy. Wreck-It Ralph is a comedic story of redemption as Ralph, a video game’s villain, wants to become the perfect good guy. However, on his quest to become good, Ralph accidentally sets an enemy free that threatens the entire arcade. Will Ralph realize he can be a hero before all is lost?

The “Reel Movies for Real Needs” program creates a welcoming and accessible environment for special needs children by offering age-appropriate films with a lower sound volume and brighter lighting for families who may not feel comfortable attending regularly scheduled shows.
