Marcus Theatres has partnered with various national digital broadcast networks to provide alternate programming, such as performances, music events and other entertainment to its moviegoers throughout the Midwest. Tuesday, February 28 and Wednesday, March 7: Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies.
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies is the highly-anticipated sequel to his musical The Phantom of the Opera, featuring Ben Lewis as ‘The Phantom’ and Anna O’Byrne as ‘Christine.’ This exclusive performance was captured at The Capital Theatre in Sydney, Australia in September 2011. Love Never Dies has yet to be performed in the United States, with its potential Broadway premiere still at least a year away. This exciting show also features special behind-the-scenes footage of Andrew Lloyd Webber discussing the making of Love Never Dies and performing in a “masters” piano class.

National Theatre Live: The Comedy of Errors transforms Shakespeare’s fast-paced comedy by staging it in a contemporary setting. The Comedy of Errors relies heavily on mix-ups and witty dialogue to keep the plot racing in this modern-day performance. The characters include two sets of twins, Antipholus of Ephesus and Antipholus of Syracuse and Dromio of Ephesus and Dromio of Syracuse. However, each twin has never met his other twin face-to-face, not realizing the other twin exists. Absurd mix-ups occur when all the twins all meet in the town of Ephesus and chaos ensues. Moviegoers everywhere will enjoy this classic yet humorous story penned by one of the world’s greatest playwrights.

triumphant return to the big screen. Featuring Donny Osmond as Joseph, this extraordinary event begins with a never-before-seen animated orchestral overture of over 80 musicians. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat includes notable actors such as Maria Friedman as the ‘Narrator,’ Joan Collins as ‘Mrs. Potiphar’ and Sir Richard Attenborough as ‘Jacob.’ This energetic musical also features a sing-a-long with subtitles for the audience to enjoy throughout the event.
