Marcus Theatres® Announces New Zaffiro’s Pizzeria and Bar at the Ridge Cinema in New Berlin, Wis.

Will be second Marcus Theatres Zaffiro’s restaurant in the Milwaukee area

MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Marcus Theatres®, a division of The Marcus Corporation (NYSE:MCS), today announced the addition of the company’s third Zaffiro’s Pizzeria and Bar at its Ridge Cinema in New Berlin, Wis., a western Milwaukee suburb. Last month, the company announced its second restaurant location at the Parkwood Cinema in Waite Park, Minn. The first Marcus Theatres Zaffiro’s restaurant opened in 2009 at the North Shore Cinema in Mequon, Wis.

“The addition of a Zaffiro’s Pizzeria and Bar west of the city of Milwaukee will offer guests the opportunity to dine and enjoy a movie in one convenient location. Moviegoers will also have the option of purchasing food from the Zaffiro’s menu at the new Zaffiro’s Express, to enjoy in the comfort of their seat,” said Bruce J. Olson, president of Marcus Theatres. “Our second Zaffiro’s restaurant at our Parkwood Cinema in suburban St. Cloud, Minnesota is scheduled to open in time for the holidays and we look forward to opening our third restaurant location in New Berlin next spring.”

The new Zaffiro’s restaurant will replace one of the theatre’s existing auditoriums. It will seat 150 patrons and feature a full cocktail bar. Other features will include a Zaffiro’s carryout service for residents in the surrounding area, live entertainment and iPads for guests to enjoy as they dine.

“Many residents in the Milwaukee-area are familiar with Zaffiro’s thincredible, handmade-to-order pizzas. In addition to offering classic and specialty pies, Zaffiro’s will offer other Italian favorites such as meatball sliders, the famous Zaffiro’s kitchen sink salad, a variety of pastas including ravioli and lasagna, delicious sandwiches and paninis and mouth-watering desserts. Zaffiro’s full bar will include an extensive wine and beer list and signature cocktails,” added Olson.

“Our strategy of expanding food and beverage concepts into select theatre locations allows us to create an entertainment destination for moviegoers. Guests have the opportunity to enjoy dinner before or after the film, or, with our Zaffiro’s restaurants, they can enjoy a great meal or bring home a pizza without even seeing a movie. We have had an outstanding response to the Zaffiro’s concept in Mequon, and at the Majestic Cinema in Brookfield, Wis., where it is available in the Big Screen Bistro and lobby cafe. We are certain that Zaffiro’s will be a popular addition for our Ridge Cinema patrons and neighbors,” said Olson.
